My real, unfiltered responses to the most common questions in the studio

While it might surprise some of my clients (possibly co-workers too) I filter a lot of my responses to questions asked during sessions. If we're being honest most of the time I HAVE to filter because: I might hurt your feelings  I'll definitely hurt your feelings  I just don't have the time to jump down the rabbit hole the answer I would like to give you will I take us down (most often the reason for my filter)  I am not a doctor - sometimes it's a thin line to walk between what I can a share without risking sounding like I'm prescribing ( I will usually encourage you to ask very specific questions from your doctor in this situation. I want you to receive the information you are searching for). So what are some of those questions? Here are some of my favorites and the honest responses that go with them. Sit down folks - it's going to get real. 1.) How often should I do Pilates? This question usually arises by a potential or brand new client. It...

Let's Try this again

I just rediscovered some things! There was one point in my life that I did blog... somewhat consistently... and people actually read it. My mind is blown. I truly forgot that I once was a sort of blogger. And I am even more shocked that anyone read anything I had to blog about. So thank you to those of you that had interest in me all those years ago. I hope you'll jump back into this with me. So why am I blogging again? First, for myself. Selfishly, I need a place to gather and organize my thoughts. Life keeps me busy. Dedicating time to sit and write out my thoughts is a practice I need right now. I'm currently full time mommy, full time Pilates Coordinator/Trainer/Nutrition coach, full time maid/house chef, AND attempting to share about how essential oils makes a difference in my home in anytime I have left over. It leaves little time for reflection and self development. Which brings me to the second reason I need to reflect/blog. I am a life long learner. I believe the...

Miley Cyrus Concert- Indianapolis November 16th, 2009

Miley Cyrus was at Conseco Field House last night! Miley's concert is unique in the amount of attendant activities available. There are green screen photo booths, upgrade ticket contests, and many souvenir spots through out the halls. I was working on one green screen photo booth, posing children with in the green screen so they could have their picture with Miley . We saw just over 300 people last night at our booth alone. There was another station on the other side of the building. Both green screen booths are linked to Facebook so attendants could immediately upload their photos online, or they received a card with a # to take home and print out the pictures themselves. The green screen photos were completely free of charge and promoting the Miley Cyrus/Max Azra clothing line. I will have my personal green screen photo posted today! Have a wonderful Tuesday.... I will be posting on Sunday after my birthday, big 21!
